BATSS showcased at SIA Powertrain 2026, contributing to discussions on the future of sustainable mobility

The BATSS project was represented at the SIA Powertrain Congress 2026, held on 17–18 June in Lille, France, through the participation of project partner IFP Energies nouvelles (IFPEN).

As one of Europe’s leading events dedicated to powertrain technologies, the congress brought together hundreds of researchers, industry experts, exhibitors and policymakers to discuss the latest innovations driving the transition towards more sustainable mobility. The programme featured high-level keynote sessions, technical presentations, live demonstrations and strategic discussions covering battery technologies, electrification, hydrogen, hybrid powertrains, sustainable fuels and software-defined vehicles.

During the event, IFPEN showcased the BATSS project at its exhibition stand, highlighting the project’s ambition to develop a safe, efficient and sustainable next-generation battery system for transport and mobile applications. BATSS was also presented during a dedicated technical presentation, offering attendees the opportunity to learn more about the project’s innovative approach to battery safety, thermal management and circularity.
