BATSS at the EARPA Autumn Meeting 2024

BATSS recently had the privilege of participating in the prestigious EARPA Autumn Meeting 2024, held in Brussels from 30 September to 1 October. This event, organised by the European Automotive Research Partners Association (EARPA), provided a key platform for professionals deeply involved in European projects and proposals in the automotive and road mobility sectors. As an EARPA member, CIDETEC brought BATSS into the spotlight during this high-level gathering.

Over two days, participants engaged in a series of insightful sessions, including foresight and collaborative research group meetings, networking opportunities, and keynote speeches addressing the future of mobility and transport. The event gathered around 120–150 experts from across Europe, offering invaluable insights into cutting-edge topics like connectivity, automation, powertrains, energy systems, and circular economy.

Our partners from CIDETEC distributed BATSS flyers, sharing our project’s mission of advancing safer, more efficient battery systems for transport and mobile applications. The networking reception held in the evening allowed BATSS to connect with key stakeholders from the sector, discussing collaborative opportunities and exchanging ideas with professionals who are fully immersed in European research and innovation projects.

The plenary sessions on 1 October featured high-level keynote speeches and discussions on AI adoption, software-defined vehicles, and circular economy strategies in the transport sector. These discussions further highlighted the importance of BATSS’s work in developing cutting-edge battery systems that align with Europe’s long-term sustainability goals.

Attending such a high-interest forum allows BATSS to remain at the forefront of innovation in the European road mobility ecosystem, sharing our vision and aligning with the latest industry trends and developments.
