For another year, BATSS participated in the Battery Innovation Days (#BID2025). The fifth edition of the event was held on 2–3 December 2025 in Graz, Austria, hosted by the Styrian Business Promotion Agency (SFG), a leading organisation supporting economic development, innovation, and regional competitiveness. The event was co‑organised by major EU battery R&I initiatives, including the Batteries European Partnership Association (BEPA) and IPCEI Batteries.
This year’s BID offered an excellent platform for creating synergies with policymakers, industry leaders, technology specialists, end‑users, and fellow research projects. BATSS was proudly represented by our partners at LOMARTOV, who showcased the project at our exhibitor booth shared within the EU‑INGENIOuS cluster. This collaborative space enabled us to connect with our sister projects and present our joint efforts to advance high‑performance, sustainable battery systems.
The #BID2025 facilitated knowledge exchange, meaningful discussions, and new opportunities for cooperation and business development through keynote speeches, workshops, exhibition booths, and dedicated sessions for early‑career researchers, including awards recognising their contributions. These interactions are essential to ensuring that innovative battery solutions are aligned with market needs and societal expectations.
