BATSS at Batteries Event 2024

BATSS recently participated in the Batteries Event 2024, held in Lyon, France, from 16–18 October 2024. This landmark event brought together key stakeholders, experts, and decision-makers from across the entire battery value chain, providing an essential forum for exchanging insights and advancing innovation in the sector.

Building on the success of the 2023 edition, this year’s event saw nearly 1,200 attendees, over 100 exhibitors, and more than 175 speakers from around the globe. The Batteries Event continues to be a premier gathering for industry leaders to share best practices and drive forward the future of battery technology.

During a special BEPA/BATT4EU session, Martin Petit, Electrochemical Engineer at IFP ENERGIES NOUVELLES, took the stage delivering a presentation titled “IFPEN’s Battery Modelling Activities in EU-funded Projects to Accelerate the Development of the Battery Industry in Europe.” Martin’s presentation highlighted IFPEN’s innovative battery modelling efforts, particularly in the context of European projects, including BATSS. He showcased how their work aligns with the BATSS mission to develop safer, more efficient battery systems for transport and mobile applications. Oscar Miguel, Deputy Director at CIDETEC, was also present during this session.

Participating in such a high-profile event is a crucial part of BATSS’s dissemination strategy. Engaging with international industry players helps amplify our project’s goals, share research advancements, and foster collaboration that accelerates innovation in the European battery landscape.
